IMPORTANT REMINDERS
All applications which require an official transcript be sent with them must be turned into your counselor in the School Counseling Office at least two weeks prior to the actual due date. Remember, many colleges have a January 1 deadline.
All scholarships that need a transcript before Winter Break should be turned into Mrs. Nicholas by December 7th.
Please sign up to visit our GRASP representative, Mrs. Leino. She is here every Friday from 8:30 until 2:00. She will help you and your parents discover the ins and outs of Financial Aid. She will be talking with each senior explaining financial aid.
A Financial Aid Night will be held again this year in January, 2010. This year the meeting will be held at J. R. Tucker High School. More information will follow in the next newsletter and on our web site. A college representative will be present to speak about financial aid and to answer all of your questions.
Please remember to sign up for your PIN number with the federal financial aid office. You may sign now for the PIN number so you will be ready to submit your FAFSA application in January, 2010.
If you are having difficulty completing your college or scholarship applications, please see Mrs. Nicholas. She will be glad to assist you.
If you receive a scholarship or grant from a college, university or outside organization, WHETHER YOU ACCEPT IT OR NOT, please let Mrs. Nicholas know.
